The Alliance<\/a>\u00a0is an organization comprised of three primary, independent organizations that train and certify candidates who successfully complete their individual training programs. The combined focus of the three organizations, the Orton Gillingham Academy (OGA), the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC), and Wilson Language Training\u00ae\u00a0(WLT) is training teachers who are competent and credentialed to teach individuals with dyslexia. These educators use multisensory structured literacy curricula during a practicum experience under the supervision of a trained expert.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

IDEA governs how states and public agencies provide early intervention, special education, and related services to more than 6.5 million eligible infants, toddlers, children, and youth with disabilities. In October 2015, the U.S. Department of Education issued a letter to state and local school districts providing guidance on recognizing the unique needs of students with learning disabilities.
