Wilson Language Training® supports educators with the goal of achieving program fidelity and increasing student success. The following courses provide practical application of reading research and will prepare teachers to teach Just Words® in an intervention setting in grades 4-12 and adult education programs.

Just Words Introductory Workshop
Just Words is a highly explicit, multisensory decoding and spelling program for students in grades 4–12 and adults who have mild to moderate gaps in their decoding and spelling proficiency but do not require intensive intervention. The Just Words curriculum provides a sophisticated study of word structure appropriate for students beyond the elementary grades. It provides direct and explicit teaching of “how English works” for both decoding and spelling automaticity. This 10-hour workshop provides the practice and guidance needed to effectively begin teaching the Wilson Just Words curriculum. Just Words Screening and Placement Workshop
Student identification and proper student placement is critical to the success of a Just Words class. The program is designed for students and adults who have mild to moderate gaps in their decoding and spelling proficiency but do not require intensive intervention. It is recommended that the Test of Silent Word Reading Fluency-2 (TOSWRF) and the Word Identification and Spelling Test (WIST) are appropriate measures for screening and placing students in a Just Words class. This half-day workshop prepares educators to use these measures and provides background information and hands-on practice administering the tests.
